Boston Marathon 2013!!

On April 15th of this year I'll be running the Boston Marathon for the 8th time.  This year I'm very happy to be running to raise funds for the Friends Of The Callahan Senior Center charity in Framingham, MA.  The Callahan Senior Center runs a program called Continuing Connections.

Continuing Connections is an innovative program involving brain health activities, education, counseling and group support to address the needs of individuals diagnosed with early stage or early onset dementia and/or Alzheimer's and their care partners.

Some of the unique features of the program are:

a) It takes place weekly for a 4-hour session

b) It involves both the diagnosed individual and the person caring for them

c) It is free to the participants

d) It is geared to those in the early stages of the diagnosis, whose needs would not be adequately met by the standard adult day health programs that better serve those whose progression into the disease is moderate to advanced.

It is currently supported by funds from the Friends of Callahan, Title III-E funds administered by BayPath Elder Services, the Town of Framingham and donations from the public.

It's a great program and I'm trying to raise $1000 for it.  Any amount that you're able to donate is extremely appreciated!
