Boston Strong for Marcie Peaco

Donation protected
For those of you unaware, Seneca Valley lost one of it's very best this past week with the passing of Marcie Peaco. Marcie was a vital part of the SV athletic department, our track team and was the beloved wife of Ray Peaco, who is the head coach of SVTF.

Marcie succumbed to a rare condition called Amyloidosis. It has no known cure and those diagnosed with it almost always face a grim prognosis.

My hope is in the wake of this tragic news I can do something to help because Marcie was a friend and her passing has struck me hard.

One of the requests made by Ray and his daughters Megan and Morgan was for those interested in doing something positive in her memory, to consider donating to the Amyloidosis Foundation.

Thats where you and I come in.

As some of you might know, I am once again racing in the Boston Marathon on April 15th. Last year I asked for donations for the Pumped to Run program that donates shoes, racing bibs and gear to underprivileged and homeless persons to get them motivated to run.

This time, I want to raise money for the Amyloidosis Foundation. Any donation would be appreciated and if you want to give me and my teammates Holly Wilson Smith and Elijah Shekinah extra motivation, you could sweeten the pot by pledging to double your donation if we break three hours and/or average 2:55 or better between the three of us!

What do you say? Make a donation (and a pledge to add if goals are met) I'd love to be able to let Ray and his girls know we've made this one count.
