Boop the Stray North Hollywood, CA Kitten
Donation protected
Boop was living behind an apartment across from the park in the North Hollywood Arts District, hiding under cars and avoiding humans at all costs. Her Mom and litter were nowhere to be found; it seemed like she'd been living on her own for at least 2 weeks.
After 4 days of attempts and 2 humane traps later, Boop was caught and brought to the vet! We discovered that she was 8 weeks old and was mostly healthy, minus a few issues-- she was bleeding under the nose from attempting to escape the trap, had an abscess on one leg, and needed some serious food and hydration. After stitches and an overnight visit to the emergency vet, she came out scared but ready to go!
Of course, emergency medical care is pretty expensive and Boop had to choose a Saturday to come home, making going to a vet a bit harder. The total cost was $990 after the 10% discount for rescuing her. Thanks, TrueCare for Pets, for taking care of Boop!
Now Boop is making friends with my cats, Randall and Gwen (not pictured!)
But Boop still has a ways to go-- she needs to get her shots, be fixed, and most importantly: not be scared of humans! Since her favorite spot is under the bed, it might take a few months...
Please consider supporting Boop on her journey to becoming a loving, domesticated cat. She's well on her way already!
Note: Boop is a secret cryptid who rarely allows non-blurry photos. I tried!
