Books for Children in the Hospital
Fall 2017 Update:
Dear Friends and Family,
We are happy to share, that because of your incredible generosity we were able to buy over $5,000 worth of books for children at Yale New Haven NICU and the John Flanagan Children's corners at both Bridgeport Hospitals and the Yale New Haven Park Avenue Medical Center.
Whether you donated to our gofundme page or through our Usborne book sale, your kindness has reached so many children and parents, THANK YOU!!!
We really appreciate your support to honor John Flanagan and William Shannehan through our charitable efforts.

Spring 2017 -- Our families are working together in remembrance of John Flanagan and William Shannehan to provide books to children at the hospital.
How can you help? We will use your Go Fund Me contribution to buy books for children at the Yale New Haven Hospital neonatal intensive care unit and for John Flanagan children's lounge on the cancer floor of Bridgeport Hospital.

The John Patrick Flanagan Foundation sponsors programs to help vulnerable children and families of Connecticut. In 2011, the foundation funded the creation of the John Flanagan Children’s Corner on Bridgeport Hospital’s cancer floor. The children’s lounge provides a much-needed reprieve for the children of loved ones battling cancer at Bridgeport Hospital. Please visit jpff.org for more information.
The William Shannehan Fund has provided books to the Fairfield Public library for over 15 years and funded author visits for children to enjoy. The family has also given over 1,000 books to the Yale NICU where William received incredible care. Parents are able to read to their children during their stay in the hospital.
Note: Contributions are not tax deductible as we will be using contributions to buying books directly for the hospitals.

The John Flanagan Children's Corner was established at Bridgport Hospital in 2011.
