Bonnie Blue's medical expenses
Donation protected
This is my Bonnie Blue. We adopted her knowing she had a rough start at life, but not knowing this would now be causing her so much pain, years later.
Bonnie's old owners had her declawed and let their dog attack her, breaking her jaw. She also had inverted eyelids.
We got surgery for Ms. Blue's eyes but her jaw healed wrong before we got her and is preventing her from eating. She gets infections in her gums and refuses to eat. She lost so much weight that we thought about euthanizing her so she wouldn't have to be in pain anymore.
Thankfully our vet has found a good combination of medications that help with the infection, and medication for her kidneys (She's an old lady cat and needs the extra organ support). We feed her small portions of soft foods several times a day and with dedication and love, she has managed to gain over a pound in the past few months. We have been fortunate to get to spend more time with her than we though possible, but it is expensive.
We spend around 170.00 on her food
80.00 on her antibiotics (They have to be compounded into a chew due to her jaw issues)
and 20.00 on her kidney medication every month.
We will be spending around 1000.00 from now until new years.
I am reaching out for help so we can have more time with Ms. Blue, I would love to welcome 2020 with my baby Blue.
