Bone Marrow Transplant for Daniel

Donation protected
In August of 2018, my husband Daniel was diagnosed with Peripheral T-Cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma affecting his lymph nodes, spleen, liver, and bone marrow.  Shortly after, the cancer spread to his optic nerve on his right eye, his brain, and cebebrospinal fluid.

Due to the aggressive nature of the cancer and the fact that it relapses quickly, Daniel needs to have an Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant at Stanford University in February, 2019.   He is currently receiving several kinds of chemotherapy that will eradicate the cancer long enough to get him into a position for the transplant and long-term treatment.

The transplant process is 60 days, and will be very taxing on his body, as well as our financial stability. Because of the aggressiveness and longevity of his care post procedure, Daniel is required to have a full-time caregiver by his side at all times, transporting him from Roseville to Palo Alto on a regular basis for treatment. Without traffic, our trip back and forth for his doctor visits are 6 hours round trip.

As a family, we have decided it is best for me to set aside my job temporarily, in order to provide full-time care to Daniel and support him during this time.   For the past 9 years I have worked as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for Placer County to help children work past their educational obstacles from their hearing loss.  In addition to my loss of income, there will be medical, lodging, transportation, and prescriptions fees.

Our adventure has been somewhat extraordinary as we are newly weds as of March 18, 2018. We look forward to our first year anniversary to share love with our children. Daniel's daughter, Tiffany, lives in Seattle, Washington and is engaged to be married to her future husband Kyle. Daniel would love to walk his daughter down the aisle one day soon. Daniel's son, Tyler is married to his recent bride Jennifer, and lives locally in the area. I have two daughters, Sierra a junior at San Jose State University, and my youngest Jersey, a senior about to graduate at Independence High School.

We have been blessed with so many loved ones and family, helping with rides to chemo treatments and meals to help keep me working as long as possible during this time.  We are part of the Bayside Church community in Granite Bay, CA, and appreciate prayers for our family and especially Daniel while he goes through treatment.  Our most earnest prayer is for strength to face our challenge as newly weds, keeping God's will in the forefront throughout this process.

Thank you all for your continued love, support, and prayers! From the Lawrence family.
