Boise Refugee Drivers Program

As my senior project at One Stone, I’m working to help the Agency for New Americans start a driver’s ed program, and any donation will be extremely helpful in making this happen. Your donations will go towards paying for drivers ed insurance and an instructor.


While working on this project, I heard from multiple New Americans that transportation is the biggest challenge for them when getting accustomed to life in Boise. The Agency for New Americans gets cars donated to them, but currently they are just sitting there waiting to be used. The biggest obstacle for New Americans looking to get their driver’s license is the driving test. What makes this step such an obstacle is the lack of access to experience behind the wheel. With your donation, we will be able to pay for the drivers ed insurance, pay a driving instructor, and help Refugees new to Boise get over this hurdle and have the advantage of transportation.
