Searching for Bobby Keys

Donation protected

My name is Dylan Amber Keys. I live in Los Angeles, California.

My dream is to be united with my father's ashes so that I may scatter them with his close friends and respected fellow artists along the Tennessee River affectionately known as the "Singing River." It is the portion of the Tennessee River that flows through Muscle Shoals.

Muscle Shoals was where my father first recorded his infamous sax solo.

My father was Robert Henry (Bobby) Keys. He was one of the most well-known session musicians of the 1970s and was the sax player for The Rolling Stones for over 50 years up until the time of his death in December 2014. He is best known for the saxophone solo on the 1971 Rolling Stones hit "Brown Sugar."

Today is August 23rd 2017.  I have fought tooth and nail to get this far.

Shortly after being informed of my father's death in December 2014 by way of social media, I was in a near fatal car accident as a passenger on January 13th 2015.

I finally received my father's death certificate in October 2016. By the first week in November 2016 I was in Nashville, TN. Hoping for answers I sadly came away with more questions.

In 2014 my father was on tour with the Rolling Stones for their 14 On Fire Tour. His last performance with them was July 3 in Roskide, Denmark. He had been suffering from health problems for many years but they worsened during the course of traveling. He passed later that December.

The exact cause of death has not been definitively identified but reports have it ranging from liver cancer as a result of cirrhosis to diabetes. I have been systematically and deliberately shut out of every aspect of my father's death including any information leading up to his death, all details of my father’s whereabouts as well as any information of his funeral. I was not, and have not, been contacted by any family member regarding this matter.

Currently I have exhausted all resources and have no idea of what more I can do.

I've turned to gofundme in the hopes of raising awarness,  the funds to help investigate and hire professionals who will assist in the recovery of my father's ashes. So that I may have some assemblence of closer. And finally be able to heal.
