Bobby Slaven, Funeral Preparations/Expenses

Dearest Family & Friends,

I come to you all with the greatest of sadness on Bobby's current condition, as his condition continues to fade from our Earthly World. Mom, Debbie Slaven, will likely not be providing anymore updates on Bobby's current conditions, as she is currently at his bedside, as he begins preparing to crossing over to meet our beloved Lord and Savior above. As my mother's daughter, and Bobby's only son, Jack Lowry, sister, I humbly come to each of you seeking prayers during this most difficult time for not just them, but for our entire family, and above all Bobby.

I also would like to ask for each and every individual who takes the time in reading this to PLEASE take into consideration making a small contribution towards Bobby's burial, as Bobby's personal battle with cancer since 2012 has financially drained, not just Bobby, and my mother, but our entire family as a whole. Needless to say, the saying "CANCER SUCKS", means not just the precious vital life of an individual, but financially sucks the monetary means of the individual and family alike! Even what might be consider a small contribution, is actually a HUGE blessing, especially to someone who has be left striped of everything from this horrific illness.

I have thousands upon thousands of friends on my Facebook. I'm not asking anyone for anything more than they can afford, but PLEASE take into consideration just how far $1, or even $5 could go towards providing this man who has fought SO long, and SO hard for living just another day. Another day to spend with family, friends, his horses he loved so dearly, (but had to give up because of his illness), and even his poor little dog left behind at home confused by his recent absences at home.

My prayer here is to help take some relief of the burden in the finances, and planning away from my mother, and brother during these final days with Bobby. I went to McKneely Funeral Home today, to begin the final arrangement processes, and contacted Mt. Hermon Cemetery, on availability. The director from McKneely informed me payment for Bobby's arrangements MUST be made "upfront", in addition to his plot at Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Mt. Herman Cemetery is a special place for Bobby, as this is where his mother, and other family members lay as their finale resting place. As of right now, the very "basic" of services is all I am asking to help work towards, just barely short of a pauper's grave. If funds are able to be provided within 30 hours of his passing, family wishes can be made of not having him embalmed, which will SAVE close to $1,000 from the final costs.

Every human being deserves a decent final resting, and no family should have to be placed in a position of the "unknown" with their beloved dying family member.

Please take into consideration even a small $1 or even $5 contribution towards Bobby's funeral services expenses.  

On behalf of our family, I personally thank each, and every individual for their prayers, and any contribution considerations. Thank you!

UPDATE: Bobby gained his wings Sunday morning January 27th, around 4am. We still have not reached our goal of $6500, with final burial expenses having been $6845.50, I still ask for your consideration in contribution towards these expenses, as him & my mom lived on his fixed income alone, month to month, making barely ends meet. Any amount is a HUGE blessing, please help if you are able.
