Financial Struggle

On March 8th, 2019 our plans took an unexpected turn just months before our wedding. My fiancé, Blake was involved in a terrifying accident at work. He was pinned between his truck and semi, 6 inches higher or lower and he could have not made it. We are more than thankful that he is still here with us, but it has come as a challenge in ways we cannot explain. The accident resulted in an ambulance ride to St. Cloud Hospital and I stayed along side him during his 3 night hospital stay. During this time I gained love for Blake that I didn't even think was possible, verifying even more that this man is my best friend and love of my life. Doctors soon confirmed that Blake's injuries included a broken femur, a torn ACL and a torn meniscus along with other minor scrapes and bruises. He had his femur repaired the day after the accident in surgery with a rod extending the full length of the inside of his femur bone. He has now set a 2nd surgery for his ligament reconstructions on May 17th 2019. Even though work-comp is covering his medical bills, he can only get a portion of his original pay which has made it difficult to cover our bills and save for our wedding. This means that things like our wedding have been put on the back burner on and off. Our parents have helped us immensely in many ways, but it has come to a point they can no longer help financially as much as they would like to. My mom suddenly lost her job and is currently looking for work. My parents also are waiting for their house to sell to be able to free up a lot of their own finances.  Blake's parents also have other financial responsibilities. I on the other hand, accepted an unpaid internship for the summer of 2019 prior to Blake's accident to finish my degree. I will be working my paid part-time job 6 hours a day and heading straight to my internship afterwards for another unpaid 6 hour shift. I have also ran into some financial struggles with my financial aid at school that has made this 14 credit internship hard to pay for. The hope as of right now is Blake will be able to walk comfortably down the aisle and dance at least for a few songs. We are not the people who admit we need help, so for us this is one of our last options to get everything back on track financially. We both also appreciate prayers and thoughts during this time as it has taken a toll on us mentally and emotionally. Any amount of help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your donations and kind words in advance.
