Chewy needs Surgery

Chewy is my 2 year old Rottweiler, he is a big part of my life and my family.

I adopted him at the age of 1 from a loving family who could no longer have him. He is a fun active loving dog who loves playing with my niece and nephews.  He is always excited to go for a walk, to cuddle and play!

A couple of weeks ago we noticed Chewy wasn't himself.  He was sitting on the sidelines when kids were playing and as excited as he would get to see people he preferred to lay down rather than say hello.  We took him to the vet only to find out that he needs surgery!  Chewy tore his cruciate ligament and is no longer able to put weight on his back leg.  He has lost muscle in his hind leg and is hopping around with weight on his front legs.

It breaks our heart to see him on the sidelines, the surgery is a must to get him back on his feet and in recovery as fast as possible.  We are doing everything we can to get the money together and we are asking our friends and family to help us with anything they can.  Chewy has his whole life ahead of him and we want to make sure he continues to enjoy the freedom of running and playing.
