My name is Lucrecia Sullivan, and I am the grandmother of Aubriee Taylor Howell.
Her Aunts; Paula Reeves, Lejeune Murphy, Nicole Howell and Hanna Hollek are having a fundraiser to help make Aubriee and her housemates comfortable and happy.
Aubriee has Down Syndrome and she is autistic. She has a very hard time controlling her anger, and although her parents and family have tried every option available for the past 4 years to help her, they have seen no changes. Aubriee has been so unhappy at home she can no longer live in an environment of family life.The family has come to realize it’s too loud and she can’t handle all the stress that comes with normal living conditions, so we have decided the best place for her is in
a home with other girls like her. She is now living at Unity House in Houston, Texas.
Aubriee is settling in nicely and seems to be very happy there.
There are five girls living at Unity House. The house is kept very clean, but it is in need of some updates. The furniture is old and dilapidated. The girl’s room décor is old and their beds are old and uncomfortable. The bathrooms also need updating. We would like to use this fundraiser to purchase new bedroom furniture, new bedding and a few decorations for the girl’s walls, and we would like to purchase
a television and new furniture for the living room.
Unity house is a mainly government run facility, so there isn’t much money available for home improvements . We would like for the girl’s home to be the best that it can be to make their lives meaningful and fulfilling. We hope that you can find it in your heart to help us by providing a donation today. It would mean the world to the girls of Unity House if you help us achieve our goal $5,000.
