Blyss Family

The Blyss family are close, personal friends of ours with 3 energetic and fun-loving boys. They are a tight knit family that we care deeply for. It breaks our hearts to say that they've experienced a terrible accident. On Tuesday, March 28th, Kian and Benjamin were riding their bikes to school through their small, quiet neighborhood, like any other day. On their way, they were hit by a driver, who has since been ticketed with careless driving. By the grace of God, the boys were wearing their helmets, which in turn saved their lives. While Kian was able to leave the hospital later on that day and heal at home with his family, Benjamin had to be transported to a pediatric trauma center because of his long list of injuries. He is finally home. However, due to the extent of his injuries, he is unable to move about, or care for himself without his parent’s assistance, until he heals. There is also a very real possibility that due to the injuries sustained, Ben may need continual surgeries up into his 20's.
The driver carried substandard auto insurance and unfortunately even if the benefits get maxed out, it will pale in comparison to the mounting medical bills that the family is facing.
Anything we can do to help the Blyss Family would be greatly appreciated. With all the love they have shown over the years to anyone in need, I hope we can help ease the burden on our loved ones now.
