What is it?
A pocketed sports bra specifically designed to protect your body against cellphone radiation.
Why?
BLUE&TUCK started from the simple interest and passion of feeling good...
I just wanted to go for a run.
Exercise lets me feel free, independent, healthy and happy. I grew up playing sports and being a part of a team, but the endorphins and true feeling of independence running outside with your favorite song on and beautiful scenery passing by you is unparalleled. This brought me to using my art, design & architecture background (from growing up under my mother who was an art director, creative director and now is a very successful and talented home designer (architecture & interior design) ) to good use. I was quickly inspired and motivated at the end of my freshman year of college to design a safe multi-pocketed convenient sports bra to store my phone on the go to make running that much better.
But the truth is, I grew up with my mom battling cancer so I am personally extra careful when it comes to my health. I tend to weigh on the preventative side because I know how common, yet, so serious, cancer is. Thus, my natural drive for going for runs (...now walks), being physically active and taking care of my body in a healthy & nutritious way. I stay away from food sensitivities which ultimately have me eating a gluten-free vegan diet (don't judge me just yet) because of doctor's-monitored studies/testing of my reactions over the course of 4 years with gluten & dairy. And to be honest I have never felt so good and so strong, I have energy everyday and don't have to deal with uncomfortable digestive issues, constant migraines and daily irritability (that is not pleasant for anyone to be around).
With all of these components established, and my natural values of being consciously crafted I am able to use my education at New York University, its supportive entrepreneurship network at the NYU Leslie eLab, my inspiring network in the Studio Art program, communities from high-level NYC internships (like Google's 30 Weeks), friends, family and my father's own entrepreneurship experience, to make this dream of RF/EMF safety and awareness a reality...
And it all starts with BLUE&TUCK...
But back to the funding!
I need to raise $4,000 by November 8, 2016 so that gives me 2 weeks to secure money for the production of 90 sports bras.
Please fund whatever you can in helping me make this dream a reality! Any extra money will go to making t-shirts or other logo apparel.
