Blue Bears watching Black Panther

The release of Marvel's film the "Black Panther" is a rare opportunity for young students to see a black major cinematic and comic book character come to life. This representation is truly fundamental for young people, especially those who are often underserved, unprivileged, and marginalized both nationally and globally.
Clarkisha Kent of TheRoot.com writes about the importance of the Black Panther film: "Black Panther remains socially and culturally relevant because it imagines a world where black people continually triumph over the influences of capitalism, Western imperialism and white supremacy."
Our goal is to take 150 students to see this ground breaking film. If we raise more than $1,000 we will take as many students as possible. We have 916 students total at Barringer S.T.E.A.M.
All proceeds will be used to pay for Barringer S.T.E.A.M. students.
