Help Us Build Our Dream Blossom Rescue Facility AKA "The Blossom Barn"
Who We Are
Blossom Animal Rescue (B.A.R.) is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 rescue and foster-care organization located in Grass Valley, serving all of Nevada County, Sonoma County, and The Greater SF Bay Area.
It was started by Novalee Truesdell who has been rescuing and fostering dogs and cats for over ten years. She has helped place countless rescue animals in happy homes.

We specialize in special needs dogs and cats, the at-risk ones, who would likely never make it out of shelters (special need pets are the first to be euthanized), but deserve a second chance and loving home. And we want to do more with your help!!!
The Dream
We are asking for donations to help us build our dream rescue facility!
We recently purchased a piece of land to live on and build the Blossom Rescue Facility. We are lovingly refering to it as the "The Blossom Barn".
This facility would allow us to comfortably take in more rescues while still maintaining a comfortable and stimulating environment for our beloved rescues before getting adopted. They will still get plenty of sunshine and running around on our land everyday. Our top notch care for the animals will not change, but will only get better!
We have already made some progress and hope that with your help we can complete out dream facility soon.
Last week we finished a brand new 25'x16' well insulated floor. Then we received a generous donation from Nova's parents Paul and Jill Truesdell. They bought us 2 windows and 2 doors!
We have the 2x4 framing pretty much done, doors installed, and we are ready for insulation and exterior siding. After exterior siding we can install windows then trim around them and the doors. But insulation can go in now. So we are in need of 1200 sq ft of insulation which costs about $900. So our first goal is to reach $900 for the insulation.
What We Need
$900 for Insulation
$600 Exterior Plywood
$600 Linoleum floor including 4 feet high washable walls
$400 Electrical is going to cost us 400 a day for labor (Hopefully one day is enough!)
$300 Painting exterior materials
$1200 for labor and misc items. Any left over will go to toys, food, vet care, medicine, and bedding for the animals.
Total goal = $4000
Project Total will be about 4000. Our contractor who was donating his time had to leave unexpectadly. This increased our budget a bit, so now we need to pay for labor along with the raw materials. We are not discouraged though! Weather to permitting we would like to complete the entire project no later than April 30th. But we can't do it without your help!
