Blessings for Baby Lyedell

Donation protected
Julie and her partner Jeremy had started to prepare for the birth of their son to be born in August. The excitement was starting to build as they announced their pregnancy to friends and family just a few weeks earlier. At 20 weeks Julie's health started getting erratic. She was in so much pain she had to quit her job as Hotel Front Desk associate. As the pain persisted, the doctor tried treating her for mistaken heartburn and general pregnancy discomfort. At 24 weeks she was rushed to Maine Medical Center for severe pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia is a life threatening condition of a pregnant woman that effects not only her blood pressure but the baby's vitals as well. The only cure is delivery. She was ordered hospitalization on April 17th, 2017 to try to regulate her extremely high blood pressure. Hers would spike and his would plummet.
At 3:30am on April 23rd, the doctors woke Julie and told her that they had to deliver baby Lydell "Dell" by emergency C-section immediately. Alone and scared to death, she was wheeled into surgery.
Her partner and family members each an hour away in Portsmouth, NH. They would arrive at the hospital in time for her to go into the recovery room. Baby Dell was born at 4:40am weighing a tiny 1 pound 6 ounces and is in the NICU.
His momma has to make the commute back and forth to the hospital since her release, an hour each way, everyday. Dad is working 2 jobs and trying to keep up with the bills has become impossible. As each day brings new hope for the baby, it also comes with much worry. To say they have been on a roller coaster of emotional, and physical chaos is not enough to explain all they have endured.
On Tuesday May 9th they received an alarming call to get to the hospital ASAP. Lydell's vitals were dropping, they were losing him. Julie and Jeremy refused to give up hope, they refused to sign the DNR they were being urged to sign for their son. They weren't ready to let go... thank God. The next day, they were told that Dell had contracted a fungal infection that was most certainly causing his instability the day before.
Everyday is a blessing. Today he is stable. Today we breathe, we pray, and we do it all again tomorrow.
Financially Julie and Jeremy need our help. Thankfully they are fully covered for medical insurance. But their rent is a month behind. Their utilities are late. Their paying for travel expenses every day to drive back and forth to the hospital and for Jay to work and they are running out of resources. Please help these brave parents stay close to their baby so he can get strong in their presence. Please send your blessings for their brave Lil Lion.
