THE TEAM
We are current students in the BFA Acting Class of 2017 at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.  Together we have spent the last 4 years creating original work that draws from our extensive backgrounds in spoken word poetry and dance.  

Our most successful project, currently in development, is our beautiful friendship. Pictured above.

THE PLAY
BLACK MAGIC is a piece we began developing in December of 2015 for a MLK Celebration Day performance in response to the deaths of so many innocent young black men. Michael Brown. Trayvon Martin. The list goes on. The play was selected to participate in the 20th Annual International New York Fringe Festival. Unfortunately, our story becomes more relevant every day. Alton Sterling. Phillando Castile. The list goes on.  Fortunately, we have this platform to explore what it truly means to be black in America.  Not headlines, not tragedies, but the love that has never, WILL NEVER, die.   BLACK MAGIC, how we can disappear and still be here forever.

THE NEED
To put it simply, putting up a play is expensive. The $5000 raised will go to...
-Transportation
-Lodging
-Food
-Festival Fees
-Renting Rehearsal Space
-Costumes/Props/Etc.
-Marketing
-Paying the Collaborating Artists
-And the weird stuff you can never plan for!

THE GRATITUDE...
Will be unparalleled. This project is so important to us.  We were chosen to participate in FringeHIGH so that groups of teens will come see our show expenses free! We are also launching a huge promotional campaign. We are very passionate about sharing this story with as many people as possible.
