On February 25th 14,000 people gathered in the streets of Oakland for the 1st Annual Black Joy Parade. While we often gather to resist, this was a time for pure celebration - of Black presence, progress, creativity, love and joy! It was diverse, inclusive and full of Black folks of all ages, industries and colors. A beautiful day by us for us.
