Marvel’s Black Panther is expected to be a revolutionary film that will have a lasting impact on Black youth around the world. Following in the footsteps of "Meteor Man", "Blankman", "Steel", and "BLADE" - Black Panther continues the legacy of African-American superheroes on the big screen.
We need your support to fund a FREE special screening of Marvel's Black Panther for Black youth in Albuquerque, NM, on February 19. These youth are from the local community - and while we don't know each child personally, we hope to get to know them and build a lasting relationship. Many of these youth stem from low-income households and aren't often afforded opportunities such as this. We feel moved to eliminate these financial barriers and make this experience accessible for everyone.
The money that is raised/donated will be used to purchase one admission ticket, one small popcorn, and one small drink for each child that wants to and is able to attend. Any additional money raised past the goal, will be donated to a local non-profit organization focused on empowering youth.
Who are we?
We are a group of local individuals and non-profit organizations who are committed to the empowerment of Black youth in the Albuquerque community and beyond.
