Mason's Treatment and Medical Fund

Our names are Maria and Nick and our little munchkin is Mason. He was recently admitted to LIJ Children's Hospital for what we thought were seizure spasms. We were heartbroken when an MRI showed things were much worse than we expected. Mason was diagnosed with Lissencephaly, a condition where the brain doesn't develop normally in utero. Whereas our brains have the "walnut ridges" and grooves, his is completely smooth. It is unsure how developmentally delayed he will be and how else this will affect his life in the future. We're facing a long, arduous road ahead of us with a team of pediatric neurologists, developmental pediatricians, social workers, genetic counselors, and multiple therapists. As you can imagine, between medical appointments, special medications, and missing days of work to care for Mason, the medical bills are stacking up. We're asking our family and friends to please donate what you can for Mason's cause. The medical bills are adding a tremendous about of stress on us. If you can't donate anything, then please help us out with a prayer for him. There are no words to describe how unbelievably thankful we are to everyone who has already been praying for him!
