Hi, everyone. You may have seen over the last week or so my post mentioning that my brother was in an accident.
On Monday, June 4th, my brother suffered a head trauma that put him in a coma. He has, thank God, finally woken up after a week of agony and uncertainty. Unfortunately though, he's not out of the woods yet. He is in a hospital far from his village, my sister-in-law and aunt take turns traveling to him and taking care of my nieces. The hospitals in El Salvador aren't like ours. Every day, my family is given a prescription of supplies needed and they go out and try to hunt them down in pharmacies or private hospitals. The price tag is getting steep. My brother is the breadwinner and he's obviously incapacitated, leaving my sister-in-law and my nieces vulnerable and facing harsh financial insecurity.
We are doing everything we can, but frankly, we don't have much, and we need help. My brother, my sister, their beautiful children, need help. I need your help.
I have no idea how much money they need, I'd be lying to you if I gave you a fixed price tag. I know that my sister has spent hundreds on some days, that my nieces need food and water, that transportation is crucial. I made the mark $1000, but every dollar helps. Every dollar helps.
