Hey friends,
Something I've wanted to do with a very long time is to put on an all night comedy event where I get to promote all my talented friends.
Something I've wanted to do for even longer is find a way to use comedy to help somebody besides myself.
Enter Bit Fest:
Bit Fest will be a 16 hour continuous marathon of comedy and music we are putting on to raise money for the Broadway Youth Center. This event will take place from 8pm June 8th to 12pm June 9th at The Crowd Theater and will feature over 60 of Chicago best stand up comics, musicians, improvisers, magicians and more. All this will be streamed live on Twitch in hopes of making a difference in the lives of LGBTQ youths.
What is the Broadway Youth Center?
BYC is a haven for LGBTQ youth and young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the city of Chicago. There they seek refuge and community as well as medical, social and mental health care services, and so much more. The work they do has an instant impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable and forgotten members of our community. 100 percent of the of the money raised from this gofundme as well as donations from the night of the event will go to the Broadway Youth Center.
