BIPOC Ancestral Healing Intensive Scholarship

Donation protected
This fundraiser will provide scholarships for Black, Indigenous, and people of color to attend Decolonizing Ancestry:  Healing Intensive for BIPOC,  offered by Integrative Empowerment Group. It is the intention of the organizers to make this workshop accessible to all who wish to attend for free or by sliding scale. Your generous donation helps cover scholarships for participants to attend at no cost while covering expenses including space, meals, and facilitator fee.  Any amount is appreciated, thank you!

About the event:
This full-day intensive is offered by and for people of color to explore ancestral healing through the lens of decolonization and liberation. We acknowledge that transgenerational wounds cannot be separated from the cultural and historical traumas that our ancestors faced, and healing our lineages includes reclaiming the beauty and brilliance that is our birthright.
Through somatic embodiment, we will focus on:
- Decentering settler perspectives and confronting white bias/privilege in tracing genealogy and genetic lineage
- Untangling multiple racial identities in our lineage
- Healing internalized racism through attunement with our well ancestors
- Containment and healing of difficult ancestors, dysfunctional family patterns
- Compassion and gentleness with ourselves in confronting cultural, historical, transgenerational trauma
- Reclamation of ancestral practices for individual and community care
- Ritual and traditional healing techniques to move and clear energy

About the organizers:
Diana (she/her) I am a queer, cis-female second generation Xicana, of indigenous Mexican heritage mestizo/mixed with settler European heritage, residing and working on Anishinaabe territory in Southeast Michigan. I offer ritual and ceremony facilitation, traditional/intuitive energy work, and naturopathic consultation with a politicized framework.

Joy (she/her) I am a Black, queer, kinky, cis-female. I'm a psychologist, yoga instructor, and energy work practitioner. Practicing from an intersectional feminist framework I center unapologetic and radical self-actualization, expression, and empowerment.
