DEVASTATING BINGIN FIRE - PLEASE HELP OUR BALI FAMILIES LEFT WITH NOTHING
On Tuesday the 4th of April there was a devastating fire on the cliff at Bingin in Bali which burnt at least 4 buildings to the ground, leaving 3 local families with absolutely nothing.
Bingin is uniquely known for it’s beautiful locals, and the breathtaking ocean view with cheap accommodation that overlooks one of Bali’s favourite beaches and surf breaks. A long-time community has developed over the last 20+ years of locals, frequent travellers, and expats who are drawn to the good vibes, waves, and beauty on the cliff.
The families who were affected by the fire, Susie’s, Pak Salim, and Juni's have lived on the cliff for over 20 years. One of the families has lost 2 buildings.
NONE OF THE FAMILIES HAVE INSURANCE or any money to re-build as their business that have been destroyed were their livelihood. 2 of the families who lost everything host the famous Binging Beach BBQ on the sand, are now left without any facilities to run their business.
The incredible staff risked their lives to run into burning buildings to save peoples belongings. These locals are now left jobless with families to feed. The average wage in Indonesia is $150 a month. Your small contribution will go towards helping un-employed locals with families to support, and the re-construction of their businesses.
Maybe you will return to or visit Bingin one day to stay in a new homestay which you contributed to re-build, while assisting the beautiful locals back on their feet.
THE FUNDS WILL GO TOWARDS
The re-construction of the buildings/businesses for the 3 Families, Susie’s, Pak Salim, and Juni’s, and the staff who are now left jobless to clean up the burned buildings.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated. What goes around comes around.
Terima Kasih!!
