Bills While Out Of Work For Surgery

Anyone that knows me well at all knows it takes a lot for me to ask for help. I have been working 6 days a week for the past month attempting to save up for when I am out for these surgeries. Unfortunately after calculating everything it still doesn’t seem like I will be able to pull this off without any help so I am having to swallow my pride. I am a single mother with two kids who rely on me to provide for them. Having no insurance and also having already taken my paid vacation for the year at my job just a few months ago before finding out how serious my health issues have gotten and how urgent it is to get them taken care of has made things quite stressful. I tend to be a very private person so I haven’t shared my struggle with too many people but I have a tumor covering 90% of my uterus that may or may not be cancerous. They can’t tell me until they get it removed and send a sample off. I will not only have to have the tumor removed but will also being having my permanent birth control Essure removed as well because it may be the cause of the tumor and has been giving me many issues including a bacterial infection throughout my body that no antibiotic has been able to get rid of and severe pain at times. It has been recalled by the FDA because of the many health issues it has caused so many women to have. I already owe thousands of dollars in medical bills from hospital visits and going back and forth to the doctor having tests ran and getting the surgery scheduled but my main concern is the fact that my surgery is supposed to require 2 weeks of recovery that I will have to be out of work without pay because my job doesn’t provide sick days and I can’t get another paid vacation until a year has past since my last one, which will be no time soon. I have explained to the surgeon my situation and the fact that I am the only one paying my bills and taking care of my children so she has agreed to allow me to attempt to return to work after a week if my incisions have began to heal properly and well enough. The only help I am asking for is the money I will be loosing that week so that mine and the kids bills still get paid. I understand it’s close to the holidays and many people don’t have the extra money to spare and some of you are struggling yourselves so if you are unable to help us out I completely understand but prayers are free so if you would please put and keep my kids and I in yours for at least the next few weeks as we go through yet another major obstacle in our lives. God always provides one way or another.
