Billy Everett is a graduate of St. Mark’s, Conwell Egan (Class of 1989) and a Temple University grad. He is a father to two amazing boys, Ryan (13) and Cole (10).
Our good friend just heard some devastating news about his health. At the beginning of June, Billy was experiencing back pain and went to the emergency room. After a week, he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the nervous system, leaving you temporarily paralyzed. Full recovery could be reached as early as one year after diagnosis. However, the next week Billy was also diagnosed with MS which inhibits his ability to walk. This diagnosis coupled with Guillain Barre Syndrome leaves Billy with 6-12 months of in house extended rehab to even begin to walk again.
Billy has always been a giver. He has always been known to lend a hand with kids and make a difference in kids’ lives.... even kids that are not his own. A few years ago, Billy welcomed Jordan into his home. Jordan came from West Philly and lived with Billy and his family (part time) in order to provide a better opportunity in life....and it did. Jordan is now a thriving student athlete at West Chester University. In addition to helping Jordan, Billy has also helped other children by raising money for high school tuition, coaching many different sports’ teams as well as running Charger Nation.
Now it is our turn to help Billy
out with his medical bills and the everyday expenses for Ryan and Cole. He is unable to work so the build up of expenses is ever growing. Billy has a long road ahead of him. Any dollar amount can help alleviate the stress of these expenses.
