This page is a way to give love and support to Bill and Kathy Hyde as they battle Bill's cancer and all of the financial challenges that accompany the fight.
Bill was diagnosed with tonsil cancer in 2016 and immediately began extensive radiation and chemotherapy sessions. The healing process from the sessions had complications which required the Doctor to do some early testing to find out if the treatment was effective. Unfortunately, the treatment was unsuccessful in killing off the tumor, and surgery was not an option as the tumor was located too close to the carotid artery.
On December 27th, while Bill and Kathy were celebrating Christmas with family, the tumor grew too large and damaged Bill's carotid artery. Bill began bleeding heavily and was rushed to the hospital for life-saving treatment. The Doctor's preformed emergency surgery which was successful in stopping the bleeding, and after a few weeks in the ICU, Bill is now at home and has a long fight ahead of him. Phase II of treatment is underway with a new round of chemotherapy this spring. Bill and Kathy's spirits are high and they are optimistic that this round will have a positive effect on the tumor's size.
Cancer fights are not only emotionally draining, but financially draining as well, and this page is offered up on Bill and Kathy's behalf to give their family and friends a way to support them in this difficult time.
