As of last night, Bill has moved on from this world. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. He will live on in the thousands of tattoos that he provided for people. Our deepest condolences to his family. The funds that have been raised will now go towards services for Bill and anything that his family needs. We will update everyone when we have a time and date for services.

Update as of 5/3/19: The doctors have taken Bill off of sedation to better access his neurological status. The hope is/was that he would regain some form of consciousness but as of 4pm yesterday. The doctors anticipated that he would have no ability on the left side of his brain but did not expect to see lack of activity on the right side as well. The damage to his brain is on the right side and the size of the bleed and swelling from fluid has pushed into the left side, which can be causing the deficit on the right. On Monday, Bill suffered a mild heart attack which they could not treat with blood thinners, as it would make the bleeding worse. He also had a partial collapse of his left lung which caused a pneumonia. He has been fighting a fever as well as fluctuating blood pressure, oxygen, and heart rates. The doctors and nurses are doing everything they can to keep him stable and pain free. Thank you so much for all of the donations, words of support, and prayers for Bill. Again, if you cannot donate financially, you can send cards and letters to the shop (address below) and they will be delivered by Bill's family or the Tattoo Angus staff. ------ Our wonderful friend and artist Bill Rhine has encountered a medical emergency and since he is a sub-contractor, medical benefits can be expensive. Any support from friends, family members, clients, other tattoo artists, piercers, or anyone who has interacted with Bill over the years would be greatly appreciated, whether in the form of donations and letters/cards of encouragement (the address can be found down below). What we currently know via Bill's family is that there is a bleed in Bill's brain but it is stable, meaning no growth in the swelling. He is currently sedated as to not fight the ventilator. His heart is not functioning as well as it should be and they can not treat what is happening with the medications that they normally would as it would make the bleeding worse. The hospital staff are working hard to ensure that he is comfortable and closely watched. We will provide more updates as they come in.
