Biking SF to LA!

What & When:
We are two independent creators who are biking from San Francisco to Los Angeles! We are departing from SF on March 23rd, immediately following the end of the Game Developer's Conference (which we are both attending), and will be documenting our ~10 day journey down the scenic coast home to LA.
We‘ll be following Highway 1 (averaging about 50 miles a day), which will take us through picturesque locations along the coast such as Santa Cruz, Big Sur, Santa Barabara, and more.
As we're both independent creators, we're hoping that this Gofundme will help us supplement the various costs associated with this trip, such as:
-Hostels (a bed! every night!)
-Safety equipment (need to make sure that cars can see us!)
-Food (so many apples and almond butter!)
-Any unforeseen circumstances (what if it rains? What will we do??)
Even though we started this Gofundme as a way to help supplement our costs, we also would love to use this as a platform to raise money for a good cause, so, any donations that exceed base costs will be donated to The Nature Conservancy to help protect the vitality of our planet.
-Who are you two?
Adriel Wallick is an independent game developer based out of LA. Originally a programmer on the next generation of weather satellites, she decided to explore gaming as a developer instead of just an avid gamer. She is best known for having made a game a week for an entire year as well as organizing the annual Train Jam game jam.
Sky Lu is a multimedia designer living in the small town of LA. She is best known for her composition and vocal work under the name Azuria Sky.
-Why are you doing this?
Why not?
A long distance bike journey like this is something that Adriel has wanted to do in some form or another throughout her entire life. Life circumstances and serendipitous timing has made this the perfect time to finally pursue this adventure. In a happy set of circumstances, Sky heard Adriel talking about doing this bike journey and shouted out an enthusiastic "I want to come!", and the plans quickly fell in place from there.
-What is The Nature Conservancy?
The Nature Conservancy is a charitable environmental organization that pursues non confrontational, pragmatic solutions to conservation's challenges working with partners including indigenous communities, businesses, governments, multilateral institutions, and other non-profits.
