Bikes for Underpriviliged Kids
Donation protected
Another Christmas is coming and I’m (Keith Putnam of Marstons Mills, MA) about to put some energy into making 2018 even better than last year’s run. In 2017 enough $ was raised for bikes donated to put over 100 + children on bikes with helmets here on Cape Cod!!
It’s in my strong opinion that every child deserves to have a new bike on Christmas regardless of their present circumstances (family, money, health). For myself to have the connection with the Child & Family Services now for over 5 years ... I have the opportunity to help many kids get that first sense of freedom that a bike gives a child.
The goal would be to raise more than $10,000 before Christmas and make Cape Cod kids more active and spend more time outside in nature.
The money raised will be used to purchase, order, pick up, shipping, put together, and commute the bikes that are (tricycles, balance bikes, scooters, 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 24" frames - bicycles in assorted male and female specific bikes along with helmets to accomadate the bikes for safety) to be delivered at the drop off points on Cape Cod. ( Child & Family Services in Hyannis, Ma , 100 Independence Park, Unit 8, #(508)778-1839). The money will be used weeks prior to Christmas Day -December 25, 2018 in attempt to get all the bikes and helmets purchased and put together before being delivered to the kids as needed through the Child & Family Services of Cape Cod.
Please PM me or contact me by phone or email for arrangements on how to donate towards this cause. Thank you
