A Real Bike Shop in Morristown, TN
Spende geschützt
Time for Morristown to have a bike shop again.
Way back when I turned 13, I got my first real bike from a place in town called The Pedal Shop. It was run by what seemed like to me as an older man. I still have that bike, it is now a single speed/fix gear. Over the years the shop was bought and sold and then lost. Not that long ago we had Panther Creek Bicycles, which mainly being a mountain bike shop seemed to make some of the road and casual cyclists distanced.
My goal is to have a comprehensive bicycle shop in which everyone should feel welcomed and invited. Having a variety of higher quality bicycles is the goal, as well as many of the accessories that go with them. Also will be a bike fitting for optimal comfort in which everyone whom rides will want to ride, instead of riding a bad bicycle not fit for them.
I know the age of internet buying is here to stay, but you cannot test ride, try on, or get things tweaked just right. Also it is a lot easier to have local support instead of third party elsewhere. Also, getting things fixed, replaced, or upgraded are not the easy with ordering online.
I feel we need a real local shop that everyone can have something for them inside. Shopping local will have to be a positive trend, otherwise we will be stuck going an hour to get our bicycles fixed by a real shop, which is what most of you are doing now. The money saved online is wasted in the drive a couple of ways, time and money.
I have a lot of ideas for how to have the shop go, but need your help to help all of us out.
