Team L4L is fundraising by riding the Five Boro Bike Tour in NYC on May 5, 2019. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards supporting the Love4Lucas Foundation ("L4L"). The Love4Lucas Foundation was formed by Hide and Sansan Harashima in honor of their son, Lucas Harashima, who died from DIPG at the age of 6. The foundation aims to fund research towards a cure for DIPG and to support families battling DIPG.
DIPG is a terminal cancer residing in the brainstem - and one doctors hate because it in inoperable. As parents going through this, we can assure you there is no greater heartbreak. When something like this happens, you understand in an instant what truly matters in life. What matters to us now is doing everything we can to shine a bright light on DIPG and funding much-needed research towards finding a cure.
