BIG Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

The national organization of Blacks In Government (BIG) a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, in partnership with the BIG Region VI Houston Area Chapter is seeking to lend a helping hand to so many who have been negatively impacted by the devastating effect of Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath.   An unimaginable number of residents of the Houston Gulf Coast area have suffered tremendous losses of homes, cars, wages and personal belongings.  While the storm has moved on, the members of this community will continue to suffer for weeks, months and possibly years to come.

We are asking our BIG members, friends and family alike across the country to answer the call for HELP!  It is our goal to raise at least $5,000 to donate to the American Red Cross for it relief efforts.  We're asking everyone to contribute at least $10.  If 500 people give $10 we will reach our goal.  Or if each region donates $500 we will exceed our goal!  If you desire to contribute more we would graciously appreciate it!   For every dollar that is raised for the Red Cross, 91 cents goes directly to the survivors.  Please join us in Making a BIG Difference!
