Bicycles and Backpacks

Donation protected

Two local yoga instructors fundraise for 100+ bicycles and 250 backpacks for kids in Cambodia.

Debbie Reisert and Megan Eddy volunteered in April of 2017 at the ELMA School located in the Sambour Village of Cambodia.  After falling in love with the school and the kids they learned that over 100 kids need bicycles to get to school and around 250  children need backpacks since most of them use ripped plastic bags.

Upon return, Debbie and Megan founded the nonprofit Two Girls Who Fundraise and are looking to raise $10,000 for this cause by December 1, 2017.   The goal is to return to Cambodia in January of 2018, volunteer for two weeks and set up the Bicycles and Backpacks event at the school.

All bicycles will be purchased in Cambodia from local bicycle shops. All backpacks will be purchased here and shipped to Cambodia.

Debbie and Megan are working in conjunction with the ELMA school principal and  the volunteer group BAMBOO to coordinate this event.  Both have met and worked with both organizations this past April.
