Love Offering for Barbara Zeller

Hello All -
As many of you know, our sweet friend Barbara (Gaston) Zeller suffered a brain aneurysm late Wednesday evening July 7th, 2016. She was airlifted to UMMC in Jackson, MS, where she's currently in the NSICU. After a bedside procedure to alleviate the build up of pressure on her brain, she underwent a surgical procedure early Thursday morning to control and prevent future bleeding. There will likely be additional procedures in the coming months to ensure more permanent healing. She is anticipated to be in the hospital for up to two weeks while doctors monitor her progress.
Though visiting hours are restricted and she is heavily sedated, speaking to Barbara is very encouraging! She recognizes people in the room and speaks easily and clearly; smiling, making jokes, and seeming very much herself. The doctor, Gus, made it clear that recovery is a long road, but Ashton remains in good spirits and her friends and family continue to be very supportive.
If you know Barbara, then you've been on the receiving end of her infinite kindness, compassion, and generosity. She is the most selfless person that many of us know, and she is the first to come to someone's aid when they are in need. She is the epitome of hospitality and the center point of multiple communities.
As members of those communities, we are now presented with the opportunity to reciprocate even a fraction of that love in a tangible way. This is a mountain that can be faced alone, but the beauty of community is that they don’t have to.

· Continued strength, wisdom, and faith for both Barbara and Ashton
· Wisdom and discernment for the doctors, nurses, and staff at UMMC
· An overall peace for the Gaston & Zeller family
