Team Weber: Rally for Dan!

Donation protected
Daniel Weber is a loving father to 2 beautiful, energetic sons, Mason and Carson and husband to Ticinie (Heller).  He has worked in the oilfield for most of his adult years, making a living for him and his family in the oilpatch in North Dakota.

Dan is a man you can take at face value, a no BS kinda guy.  He is family driven, hard-working and honest...a one of a kind guy anyone would love to know and have in their corner.  If you needed his help, he would lend a hand at the drop of a hat  He has a sense of humor like none other, one of his best attributes by far.

On the morning of August 24th, 2018, Dan was involved in a tragic accident on the farm.  He was life flighted to Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND, where he was rushed into emergency surgery.  He suffered broken ribs, a broken sternum, broken shoulder, broken hip, and a broken vertebrae in his upper back.   His L1 vertebrate shattered into his spinal column, squishing his spinal nerve, which has caused him to be paralyzed from the waist down.  After the first surgery and X-rays, they also found that he had blood in his stem cord, which would affect his paralysis more, and also that he had a broken femur.  He then had a 2nd surgery, the same night, to put pins in his hips to keep them stabilized.  He will also need a complete hip replacement, but this will happen at a later date. Dan will have to endure more surgeries to repair all that has been damaged, including an IVC filter in his hip, which will be permanent.  He is one tough cookie and has been pushing everyday to regain movement in his lower extremities.  He has some limited feeling and movement in his left leg above the ankle, below the knee.  He also has some tingling in his  left arm, which could be caused from nerve damage.  Dan has a long road ahead of him and will eventually be transferred to a rehab facility at a later date.

Dan is a tough guy, maybe a bit stubborn, like we all know, but is keeping positive thoughts through what could be the most trying time in his life.  With all of his family and friends continuing  to send up their prayers, we know Daniel will overcome this obstacle.  He has already shown he's a fighter in these first few, trying days.  He has also stated that he WILL be walking by the end of the year!  Now if that isn't determination and positivity, I don't know what is!

Ticinie is continuing to give updates daily on Facebook with what is happening and how he is progressing.  Dan's future as of right now is uncertain when it comes to work and his job.  If you are able to donate to this wonderful family to help defray everyday costs and medical bills while the family is supporting Daniel during his recovery, it would be greatly and lovingly appreciated!  We will also be setting up a benefit for Dan and his family at a later date.

Thank you and God Bless!
