Fundraiser to Support The Ruggiero family

Hello to my friends and family!

 This fundraiser is to raise money to cover expenses during post-op recovery and to support myself and my family while I look for work.
  I was working as a mail carrier for the USPS when I got injured and developed severe carpal tunnel, bilateral shoulder impingements, and it is possible  I have a  rotator cuff tear, waiting to hear back on MRI results.

The USPS forced me out without literally saying it. It sounds crazy and probably illegal, but the PO never seems to take responsibility for their terrible business practices so I doubt any legal recourse will work. I am not the first one to have these issues with the USPS. Currently there are over 100,000 lawsuits against them for a very similar reason as mine. Once you are injured, you are no longer valuable to them and they claim "no work available." To make matters worse, my direct supervisor responsible for submitting my legal paperwork on my case despises me after he had to attend an anger management course for harassing me and other employees. This particular supervisor made my life a living hell the 2 years I was there. He lied through his teeth to OWCP that I never told management about my injuries and that I was lying! Needless to say, I was denied my claim due to the fact that I filed my claim incorrectly. We all know that's BS because my harassing supervisor files that paperwork. I even sent OWCP all the medical paperwork but they still denied me. I tried for unemployment and I was denied because the USPS told them I was lying too. Sigh. So, I  got pretty screwed over by the USPS, to say the least.

So, I need to find another job. ASAP!
Before I do, what better time than now to get a medically necessary surgery that I have been putting off for years!? I couldn't do it while at USPS because they would deny me that much time off. But I would have had to do it eventually while working there because I am in a lot of pain and discomfort.

    I have been having mild to severe issues with my reproductive organs for quite some time, like years.I have constant bleeding and am in a constant state of PMS. Which means hot flashes, endless exhaustion, severe mood swings, painful cramps, heavy bleeding, bloating, etc. I have been seeking medical advice for the past couple of years and have been told time and time again that there is one way to help these symptoms at this point...a hysterectomy. 

This surgery takes about 6-8 weeks to recover. I also am in the process of procedures for my work-related injuries. I just got wrist injections and will most likely need surgery. I can't get to work until I am healed from all these injuries. My insurance will cover the hysto surgery because it is a medical necessity, but obviously, they do not provide the money we need to live. The funds raised here will help me, my wife and kiddos get the things we need while I recover, fight my claim for OWCP,  look for work and cover us when I have to get surgery for my carpal tunnel and potentially on my shoulders.
The need for a hysto has become more urgent now that I have been on hormones for almost three years. Eventual consequences include ovarian cancer, endometriosis, and cervical cancer. I have been trying for this surgery for quite a while as I have been dealing with this for the past 2 years. I find it especially urgent as the current administration is trying to pass legislation to restrict my ability to get trans related care and surgery. Thank you for your time and consideration!
