Supporting Our Elders – Can YOU Help?

     In 2010 Bethany purchased a wonderful home in Baldwin to house a new and innovative program for our elder women. The 55 and Over Project, Dream & Grow, has focused on cultivating an environment of independence, comfortable community living, and workforce marketability for its participants. Such a program is sorely needed because the self-esteem and confidence of these women has been shattered due to past abuse, abandonment, loss of a partner by death or divorce, loss of job, or discrimination and prejudice against age.

     Dream & Grow provides for the smooth transition from emergency shelter placement to independent living by offering the residents comfortable surroundings, nutritious meals, comprehensive services, direct assistance and ongoing case management.

     Now in 2018, Bethany is completing a spacious addition to this home since the lower floor of the building had been needed for office space. We have even added an elevator as stairs become a real concern for our elders! We’re nearing completion of the expansion, but now need your help to provide all the furnishings for 5 bedrooms, 2 guest rooms, an expanded dining room and a meeting room.
