Berwyn Public Art Initiative
The Berwyn Public Art Initiative (BPAI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, connecting local, national and international artists with businesses, building owners and the broader community by engaging all in the transformative power of public art.
In Fall of 2018, the City of Berwyn received approval from the West Suburban Mass Transit Agency to use $25,000 in station improvement grant funds for public landscaping and art installations. The Berwyn Public Art Initiative was chosen by the City of Berwyn to facilitate the installation and management of this large scale public improvement project. The final step in qualifying for the use of the entire grant is to ensure that $12,500, one-third of the total, is raised through community contributions. With a deadline in early 2019, the Berwyn Public Art Initiative (BPAI) is continuing with this large scale fundraising campaign.
Our efforts are fueled by our community through a desire to help spur the economic vitality of the Berwyn Depot District and larger Berwyn community.
