Hey, my name is Alberto, but most know me as Beto or Berty. I live in San Diego working and playing music.
Recently, I began suffering from debilitating full-body muscle spasms and dissociations. They started affecting my ability to work. After meeting with my psychiatrist and doctor, they gave me several possible diagnosis; some of which include epilepsy, panic disorder, and a type of psychotic disorder.
I am currently still undergoing medical tests, including an EEG (Electroencephalogram) to measure abnormalities in my brain waves. The medication that was prescribed to me in addition to the medical tests from just the past two months and living expenses has added to upwards of $4,000.
As you can see in my last update, I am not allowed back to work until my tests are done and cleared, since I was injured at work after having spasms. This has affected my income, severely. My medical insurance can only cover basic procedures, which these are not.
This is why I am asking for you help and support. Any type of donation helps, it is greatly appreciated. Even if you are not able to donate, sharing this would help a tremendous amount.
I want to be able to work and play music normally again.
