BERO HERO CAPES
Donation protected
After learning of my 13 year old great nieces cancer diagnosis of Burkitt Lymphoma, I watched the SickKids Foundation campaign video which depicted children as little warriors and was brought to tears. I knew then I wanted/needed to do something that would make these children fighting varies forms of cancer at SickKids feel empowered... feel like superheroes, after all they truly are
I quickly contacted the parent organization at SickKids to let them know I wanted to donate a cape to each child fighting cancer in honor of my great niece who had won her battle.I came up with the design which is an outline of my great neices handprint on each cape so that each child feels like they are not alone. I plan to continue this endeavour and eventually branch out to other parts of SickKids. I would greatly appreciate donations so that I can continue making Bero Hero Capes for these children.
Please see the attached pictues of the capes that have been created and sent to SickKids Toronto.
