Bensons recovery

Donation protected
On Saturday Benson and Pete ate an entire bottle of ibuprofen. Benson got the majority of it causing her to have a near fatal overdose. She was rushed to the emergency vet experiencing vomiting and seizures. We had to make the decision whether to put her down, or fight for her life. Obviously, we chose to fight. Yesterday was a very rough day and we were unsure if she would pull through. Today, things are looking better. She has been awake and she has even eaten. We were able to see her for a short time but she is not in the clear yet. She still faces the possibility of liver and kidney failure so she remains hosipitalized. Pete also took a turn downhill, experiencing vomiting and lathargia. He was taken to the vet where they gave him an IV and 2 shots. With all this being said you can imagine how big our bill is becoming but we cannot consider the alternate because for us, these are our children. I am personally never one to reach out for help but in this moment I am. If you would like to help us in this time we would be forever greatful. With all our love, Kayla, Brandon, Pete, Conner, and Benson.
