Benny's emergency surgery

Donation protected
My fur baby Benny has been with myself and 2 daughters for the past 7 years. He had belong to an elderly lady who had to give him up because of where she was moving. It was love at first site and  he settled into our family quite nicly .I  have always been an animal lover and people began to find out quickly I soon had stray  injuried dogs and cats brought to my house to nurse back to health. My little guy Benny who is a Shih Tzu was out for a walk and a little ball catch when his younger cousin dog who is still a little wild and crazy seen Benny from across the way and came running full tilt at Benny and instead of jumping over him he hit him full tilt on his front right leg and poor Benny fell to a yelping like I never heard before. It was arounf 10 pm Sunday evening so I had left him for the night in bed with me keeping a close eye so the first thing the next morning I took him to Ch'town Vet Clinc where Benny got to see his favorite vet Dr Jody she had taken xrays and had another wonderful vet to come in and check the xrays and realize that the damage was far more then they could thier but felt that amputation maybe the way to go and less expensive I was also told that the Vet College would more then likly be able to do surgery and of coarse I wanted the surgery  the last thing I could think that my dog was going to lose his leg over an axcident until I heard the price but my mined wasn't working very well at the time so I agreed to the $2400 - $5200 surgery and had to put down half the money which was close to $2000 thank God for my sister being there with her credit card , At this time Benny had been taken for more test done to prep him for surgery. After a bit I started thinkig and talking to a few friends who have had pets that had to have amputation and have got along great I decided to phone Dr.Jody back at 5;45 and tell her I am going to have the amputation done at Ch'town vet with Dr. Jamie Kelly who I feel 100% comfortuble to do the surgery on my prescios boy. At 6pm I was calling AVC and canceling his surgery with them but he is staying with them for the night so they can continuly give him pain meds threw IV for the night and then I will pick him up at 8am tomorrow and back to Dr.Judy and Dr.Kelly for his leg amputation.
The money will be used for what we will owe the Vet College and so that I can pay my sister back. I will  know more tomorrow when I get him from the there I know it will not be cheap with blood tests other xrays medication and a night stay. Ch'town vet maybe $1500 and then the follow up appointments and medication.
I just want to thank anyone who can help out with cash donations and  or prayers it is all good. My children have been dealing  with health issues and one of my girls have recently been released from hospital and having Benny around is certainly great therapy.
It will certainley be paid forward and thank you everyone you have no idea how much this guy means to us.
