2018 Bonanza Football Fundraiser

Bonanza High School in Las Vegas celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016 with Coach Dion Lee as new head coach. BHS has been an underdog in the Clark County School District with no State Championship titles to date. The school is considered a Title I school which means that a majority of the student population is low income or disadvantaged. With this being the case, many of them cannot afford to play or contribute what is expected to build a successful program. We started this campaign in Fall 2017 and Coach Lee's fundraising goal of $100,000 fell short last year, leaving some unfinished business for the program.
The goal of the new Bengals Football program, is not just to improve the winning culture of all sports, but to grow and develop top-level student-athletes for athletic scholarship opportunities. Working and growing with these young men from Freshman/Sophomore status through to graduation, you will see the benefits of how football continues to shape their lives and foster attitudes of success and hard work.
In order to be a winning team, we need to look, act, feel, think, and train like a winning team. This is where your contribution is so very important. Although we are conducting other fundraisers, the players are only expected to raise enough money to pay for personal expenses, and with that, only a third of players actually doing their part.
Good news is that we were able to acquire brand new helmets and uniforms last year, however, we fell short ending the season with unmet expenses. We are continuing to expand the team's playing and learning experience to include football tournaments and camps; invest in marketing media and college recruiting efforts; nutritious meals before and after all evening games; and summer school scholarships for ineligible players based on need (CCSD charges $100 per session). We even have our first out-of-state game to Phoenix, AZ. Your contribution, large or small, will help us get a jumpstart to a great year!!
