Amber Brown has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Bronchiolitis causing Pulmonary Hypertension. The only treatment option is a double lung transplant. While Amber is on the waiting list she is relying on an oxygen tank.
The cost of this complicated surgery IS covered by OHIP - however the cost of the physiotherapy before & after surgery, travel, parking, prescription medication& months of recovery follow ups is estimated at approximately $50, 000.
Amber has been the first to offer help to others & doesn't WANT to ask for help now. But WE will - she's our mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt & friend & we love her so much.

UPDATE Amber recieved her double lung transplant on Thursday November 30th,
Everything went very smoothly and she is making an extremely good start on recovering, with the Pulmonary Hypertensiom immediately improving
There is still a long road to recovery - Amber and Ted are looking at an apartment to rent near the hospital temporarily, to cut down on travel through the winter weather, for the 3 days a week physiotherapy to come.
Donations are still needed and the fundraising will continue.
