Ben Beverly's Celebration of Life

Donation protected
As many of you know, on Friday, March 24th, we lost our dear friend Ben Beverly... Over the last few days, each of us have been overwhelmed with a flood of memories…. snap shots of Ben that form a picture board of a life well lived. Ben had friends from many different walks in his life, and we ask each of you to join his family in a celebration of his life on Saturday, April 22nd (at a time and location to be announced)... There is no escaping the fact that Ben was taken from his family and friends way too soon. His passing is an unfathomable tragedy that rocks and shakes us so deeply we cannot help but question every pillar we have held as an irrefutable truth. Uncontrollable emotions well in our hearts and our unsuccessful attempts at out-walking the pain and confusion and fear only exacerbate the deep sense of loss we all feel. So, rather than grapple for words that do not exist to stay the pain, to give answers where there are none, to help us swallow a bitter pill that will not go down… Let us instead follow the example Ben set for us… today, this afternoon, right now, let’s commit ourselves to embracing the “gift” of his life, the 39 plus years that Ben graced this earth. Let’s wrap our arms around the positive nature that was Ben Beverly… Let’s do as he would… let us join together on the 22nd of April and embrace his memory and commemorate his life with smiles on our faces and humor in our hearts.

Our background and experience may influence who we are, but we determine the person we become… and Ben was always genuine… the real deal. Ben had his hands on the reins of his life and navigated his way through it with an exceptional grace, dignity and humor. His strength of character, his humility, his unwavering faith in his fellow man, his fierce loyalty and his genuine graciousness knew no bounds. And the true beauty of it all, is that it was never about HIM…. It was always about everyone else... Which is why it comes as no surprise that Ben played a significant role in creating some of our fondest memories in life—a co-author to many wonderful adventures and experiences which are dear to our hearts…..the snapshots we remember. He leaves all of us better, to some degree, than we were before he came along. April 22nd is our chance to collectively thank Ben for the way he brightened our lives. We will always be grateful for the years he gave us and it was his love of life, his positive outlook, his joy of the moment, and his ever-present smile that we will carry in our hearts and souls forever.

If you can see fit to helping us raise the funds to make this celebration all is should be, it will be greatly appreciated... All funds donated will go towards the cost of the venue, food, drinks, etc. Any funds not used for this celebration of life will be donated to Ben’s longtime friend Rochelle Esparza Tittmann’s fight against cancer (https://www.gofundme.com/team-robabys-fight-against-cancer).
