Ben & Allison Walton's Recovery Fund

Hello Family and Friends!  Before I get into the details, I want you all to know that I would never ask for money like this unless it was for someone who meant the world to me and who really needed it.  This GoFundMe account is for my cousin Allison and her husband Ben Walton. I know you might not know her, but you would love her if you did,  and if you do, then you know this is the most gracious, kind, loving, person you will ever meet and she does not deserve the fate that she has been handed recently.  Ben and Allison were recently married a few years ago, they live in Findlay Ohio and have one daughter, Bailey. Ben works at UOF, but has a hundred hobbies, and Allison works at Ag Credit, for what seems like forever. Their relationship has been one for the books. Two people who are 100% meant for each other that randomly meet and fall in love, a true fairy tale.

Recently, we took a weekend trip to Malta, Ohio (Never heard of it? me either) anyway, this place was beautiful and the perfect place for us to reconnect and create wonderful memories(cheesy I know) with both our families. We got home on Labor Day, all is going well, and then... I get a text from my aunt telling me, she is in the hospital with Allison. Ben had to be air-flighted and was in the ICU because he'd  fallen down a flight of stairs in his garage, fractured his skull, and now his brain is bleeding and they have to go in and do emergency surgery. The next 21 days from now have been an absolute emotional roller coaster, but also a miracle!! He is now out of ICU, and has been flown in a jet ambulance to Chicago to a top rated TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) rehab program in the world . He has post traumatic amnesia and is having a hard time forming words but hopefully with the help from this team in Chicago, he will be back to himself in no time. They have a very long road ahead of them, but I know God will bring them through this just like he's gotten them this far!!!! My reason for this GoFundMe account is because Allison has had to take months off of work to be with Ben and assist in his recovery and I know insurance is not going to pay for all of the expenses they are incurring these last couple weeks and probably months to come. As  you can imagine, this has been a very traumatic experience for Allison and I would like to do what I can to make this journey a little easier. She is staying with Ben in his hospital room in Chicago with little room to sleep, shower, etc, but she can't afford to stay in a hotel room every night while she's there(there's no telling how long he will be there). She has applied for a room in the Ronald McDonald house but she believes there's a very slim chance she will get one.  So,  I am asking for your help so that she can use this money to make this situation a little easier and so she can stay with her husband in Chicago and not have to worry about anything other than him getting better ( she can deal with insurance and bills later). I thank you for taking the time to read this as I know it was a long one, and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I know Allison and Ben will be overly Blessed with whatever you can offer. And I ask that you please keep Allison and Ben in your thoughts and prayers. I don't think anyone can predict the outcome of Ben's recovery, but I ask that you please pray for him to recover as the same person he was before this traumatic accident. Thank you and may God bless you and your families!!!!

With Love,
