The Belmont Kidz Family Needs Help

My name is Sarah, and I launched this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend, Qiana Jones, and her family.
Qiana and Hernan run a small family-owned business that is truly unique called Belmont Kidz, a children’s consignment store that also offers all sorts of community wellness and family-oriented events for free, or for a very reasonable price on a sliding scale. The two run the store together and also trade off taking care of their two sons, Destin (5) and Kai (3).
Recently, the family is recovering from a tragic accident. Hernan was struck by a car while riding his bicycle. After surgeries, a hospital stay, and pins placed in his legs, Hernan is facing a period of recovery longer than a year and unknown physical therapy afterwards. Qiana is simply not able to run a business and raise their two young children by herself, and the store has fallen extremely behind even in the two weeks that this has happened. In order to keep the doors open, I am hoping to raise $5,000 to hire another store associate and also design an online store that fits their consignment model.
These two are really very generous, hardworking, and all-around amazing people. Qiana just lights up the store with her presence and kindness, and she has helped hundreds of families out with anything from donations from her own pocket to great advice. It would be horrible to see them lose their hard-earned business over an accident like this!
