Belgrade Central School Playground

We hope to provide better inclusion, more accessibility, and a modern play structure to meet the needs of all students.  Recess is more than just a break from school, it provides students with exercise, creative play, and socialization. 

There are currently two separate play areas for students at BCS and combining playgrounds will allow for better accessibility, inclusion, safety, and supervision. Currently, some students cannot access our equipment due to mobility or sensory needs. Additionally, a new larger structure will engage more students during recess and bus wait times. The current play structures are nearing the end of their useable life and will need costly repairs.

While we have an overall goal of $50,000 to upgrade the structures and we have a plan to make additional enhancements should we exceed our fundraising goal.

Site work will begin in July 2017 and the installation of the new equipment will be in August 2017 before the start of school.
